How to smudge using white sage:
1. Begin by setting an intention to remove any negative energy and having it replaced with positive energy, light, love and happiness.
2. Leave a window open to allow the smoke to exit the room, as it cleanses all the impurities from your space.
3. Use a match to ignite the stick and allow it to burn for 30-45 seconds before feathering away the flame. If you choose to set the stick in one place, be sure to place it in a fire-safe tray holder. If you choose to cleanse your space from corner to corner, hold the stick at a 45 degree angle.
4. You may turn the burning of a Palo Santo smudge stick into a ritual or even add a personal prayer.
5. Be sure to not leave your lit Palo Santo smudge stick unattended. You may ignite the stick as many times as needed.
Warning: Do not leave burning Palo Santo stick unattended. Keep away from flammable articles. Do not smudge around pregnant woman, children or people prone to asthma or epilepsy.
